EDUCATION IN URBAN SLUMS

Urban Slums are characterized by unhygienic conditions, poor sanitation, overcrowded areas, thickly populated communities and high teacher student ratio in schools. Majority of these areas may also report high crime rate and drug abuse.

Thus, any model that seeks to address the above issues, needs to be long term and holistic in nature. Navjyoti India Foundation envisions to impact children and youth through providing transformative education, early leadership  and skill training through a 3S program to ensure training in Shiksha, Sanskar and Skills.
